Hanger, Inc. is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator in Baton Rouge to ensure a seamless patient experience at the front desk. You will greet patients, verify demographics, collect payments, and help schedule prosthetic care plans.

The role requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and experience in medical front office settings. This location-specific position offers full-time employment and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Talent Sorter assessment may be administered as part of the selection process.
• Less than one year of customer service, administrative or related experience.
• Experience in a receptionist position or medical front office procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at the front desk, provide wait time information and answer inquiries.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance details during check-in; handle walk-in registrations.
• Collect patient payments including deductibles, copays, and coinsurance at the front desk.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments, including cast and measure, delivery, and prosthetic care plans.
• Serve as a liaison for clinic services, offering information on patient experience programs and resources.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Management to obtain necessary patient information.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records for all patients.
