Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to greet patients, collect demographic and insurance information, and schedule visits in a warm and efficient manner. You will review provider schedules, verify eligibility, route questions to the right departments, and support patients with MyChart while keeping information secure.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in healthcare or call center preferred.
• Ability to handle high call volumes with accuracy and politeness.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and collect personal and insurance information.
• Run patient insurance eligibility checks.
• Review provider schedules for correct appointment placement.
• Follow triage protocol as needed.
• Route calls to appropriate departments with warm handoffs.
• Communicate results and updates to patients.
• Encourage and assist with MyChart setup.
