Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and complete check-in/check-out.
• Answer patient questions with helpful information.
• Provide strong customer service and represent the organization.
• Register patients accurately to ensure data integrity.
• Verify forms for accuracy and scan documents into the EMR.
• Schedule appointments, including telehealth and specialty visits.
• Maintain EMR cases for insurance, authorizations, referrals, and tracking.
• Obtain physician signatures for outside referrals per Medicare guidelines.
• Process discharge data and ensure timely transfer of charge sheets for billing.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations.
• Provide financial counseling to uninsured or underinsured patients.
• Collect and post payments and reconcile documentation.
• Answer and route phone calls; coordinate communication.
• Maintain office supplies and support general operations.
• Maintain HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
• Provide back-up coverage across departments.
• Adapt to high patient volumes and shifting priorities.
