Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center seeks a part-time Patient Access Specialist to support patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification across locations. The role executes check-in/check-out, collects payments, and maintains EMR documentation with HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities include patient front-desk duties, eligibility checks, and authorizations, while delivering strong customer service in a dynamic clinic setting.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service, registration, scheduling, or patient access experience.
• Proficiency with EMR systems (Cerner or Centricity) and MS Office tools.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients and complete check-in/check-out processes with accuracy.
• Register patients and verify demographic/insurance data in the EMR.
• Schedule appointments, including telehealth and specialty visits.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations as required.
• Provide financial counseling to uninsured or underinsured patients; collect and post payments.
• Answer phones and route calls; maintain confidentiality per HIPAA.
