Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Patient Access Representative – Clinical Non Union Float Pool for a full-time, day position in the Vancouver area. The role coordinates scheduling, insurance verification and pre-certification, and serves as a clinical liaison with physician practices.

Key duties include pre-registering patients, collecting payments, verifying coverage, obtaining prior authorizations, responding to inquiries, and managing daily appointment schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of medical office or related customer service experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers/registers patients with accurate demographic and financial data; may register via mobile cart.
• Collects patient balances, co-payments, co-insurance, or other payment types.
• Verifies insurance coverage and ensures all requirements are met; obtains prior authorization/referrals as needed.
• Responds to patient inquiries and assists with departmental requests.
• Manages daily appointment schedules, including reminders and referrals.
• May transport patients using escort or wheeled transport equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
