Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Patient Access Representative - Family Practice for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range is $23.16 – $31.26 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

The role coordinates scheduling, insurance verification and pre-certification, and acts as a clinical liaison with physician practices. Responsibilities include patient pre-registration, payment collection, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year in medical office or related customer service experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers/registers patients with accurate demographic and financial data.
• Collects patient balances, co-payments, and co-insurance.
• Verifies insurance coverage and obtains prior authorizations/referrals as needed.
• Responds to customer inquiries and assists with departmental coverage.
• Manages daily appointment schedules and referrals.
