Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Patient Access Representative - Clinical Support to join our team in a full-time role in Oregon. You will coordinate scheduling, verify insurance, and handle pre-certifications while acting as a clinical liaison with physician practices.

Responsibilities include registering patients, collecting payments, verifying coverage, and arranging referrals. Strong customer service and accurate data handling are essential; prior medical office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year in a medical office or related customer service role.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers/registers patients with accurate demographic and financial data.
• Collects patient balances, co-payments, and other payment types.
• Verifies coverage and obtains prior authorization and referrals as needed.
• Responds to customer inquiries and provides information.
• Assists with departmental coverage as needed.
• Manages daily appointment schedules and reminders for referrals.
• May transport patients using escort or wheeled transport equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
