Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Patient Access Representative - Admitting for a Per Diem/Relief, Variable position. The role involves coordinating with scheduling, insurance verification and pre-certification to ensure smooth patient arrivals and accurate billing data.

Responsibilities include pre-registering patients, collecting balances, verifying coverage and obtaining required authorizations, while responding to inquiries and supporting departmental coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year medical office or related customer service experience.
• Experience with Word, Excel and Outlook is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers/registers patients with accurate demographic and financial data.
• Collects patient balances, co-payments and co-insurance.
• Verifies coverage and secures prior authorizations and referrals as needed.
• Responds to patient inquiries and supports departmental coverage.
