Job summary

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance is seeking an appointment scheduler to support patient access across our network of locations. The role involves answering calls, triaging to the correct departments, and scheduling patient appointments via phone and outside services.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in medical appointment scheduling, with a strong focus on courteous, efficient service and accurate updates in the practice management system. High school diploma required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma.
• Experience: Minimum one year of experience in an appointment scheduling position, preferably in a medical practice setting.

Responsibilities

• Answers phones with excellent customer service and efficiency while using the standard TOC greeting.
• Triages calls to appropriate areas.
• Schedules appointments by phone or other outside services.
• Ensures updates are input daily into the practice management system.
• Communicates patient concerns with Clinic Director as needed.
• Uses customer service principles to handle patients calmly and pleasantly.
• Works with Physician Coordinator for scheduling questions.
• Mail coordination both incoming and outgoing.
• Sorting of incoming faxes and electronic documents.
• Other duties as assigned.
