Job summary

Children's National Medical Center is seeking a registration coordinator to handle patient appointments by phone, ensuring accuracy and adherence to department guidelines. You will liaise with families, physicians, and staff, verifying insurance and demographic data as needed, while maintaining exceptional customer service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of related experience; an associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience with patient registration and scheduling.
• Experience with medical insurance screening and verification required.

Responsibilities

• Register and schedule patients' appointments by telephone in line with guidelines.
• Communicate with parents, patients, physicians and staff in a courteous manner.
• Verify demographic and insurance information; obtain authorizations as needed.
• Serve as liaison between Call Center and the clinic.
• Enter accurate notes and documentation in the system.
