Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a friendly Registration Clerk to greet and register patients, verify demographics and insurance, and schedule appointments. You will collect and confirm information, ensuring accurate data entry and eligibility checks for patient stays and visits.

In this role you will support multiple departments, coordinate with clinical staff, and help patients navigate the admission process.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates basic computer skills and ability to navigate current systems
• Strong administrative skills required for patient access workflows
• Experience in healthcare settings is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Greets and registers patients in reception and registration areas
• Answers phone calls and schedules appointments
• Obtains and verifies demographic, insurance and physician information
• Screens data for insurance eligibility and pre-certification requirements
• Maintains open communication with departments and clinical staff
• Assists in onboarding new staff and orienting trainees
