Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Patient Access Manager to oversee patient scheduling, access operations, and clinic capacity across the system. The role leads template design, SOPs, and workflow alignment with the Access Center to optimize staffing and patient flow.

Responsibilities include building navigational reporting, collaborating with IT and clinical leadership, and guiding a team of access liaisons to achieve high patient satisfaction and efficiency across 18 locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• 6+ years progressive responsibility in health care practice administration and/or call center in a university/hospital setting.
• Master's degree preferred in Health Administration, Business Administration, Healthcare Management or Public Health.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient access scheduling, access operations and clinic capacity management.
• Lead implementation and maintenance of access-related tools and technologies.
• Design and deliver access reporting and analytics to inform decisions.
• Partner with providers, clinic leaders, IT and scheduling teams to improve access and throughput.
• Manage a department-based team of patient access liaisons and ensure KPI benchmarks are met.
