Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a senior leader to organize and direct patient access operations across Admissions, Outpatient Access Services, Emergency Department Access Services and Business Operations, ensuring top customer service and timely reimbursement.

You will partner with clinical and operational leaders to optimize scheduling, capacity, templates, and registration, oversee Epic system coordination with IS and Patient Accounting, and drive budget management and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Science required.
• Education specialization in Business or related field, or currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program.
• 7+ years of leadership experience, preferably in a hospital patient access department.

Responsibilities

• Oversees operations for procedural and hospital-based scheduling and patient access.
• Develops templates to maximize capacity and improve access and efficiency.
• Monitors patient demand, utilization and lobby flow to optimize throughput.
• Oversees eligibility verification, prior authorization and financial clearance activities.
• Leads the PMDH Patient Access Management Team to improve front-end performance and registration quality.
• Coordinates Epic system development with IS and Patient Accounting.
