Job summary

Prosser Memorial Health is seeking a seasoned Patient Access Leader to guide the scheduling, registration, referrals, and authorization functions across hospital and clinics. You will collaborate with directors and frontline staff to optimize workflows, ensure accurate patient data in the EHR, and maintain high-quality customer service throughout the patient care experience.

You will develop and monitor processes, audits, and dashboards, lead a small team, and drive performance improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare administration with focus on patient access or registration.
• Two years lead or supervisory experience.
• Experience in Critical Access Hospitals or Rural Health Clinics preferred.
• AAHAM Certification preferred at time of hire or achieved in first year of employment required.
• BLS certificate encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Lead the patient access team and oversee scheduling, registration, referrals and authorizations.
• Coordinate patient flow through hospital and clinics to ensure excellent customer service.
• Develop and maintain workflows, ensure accurate data entry in the EHR, and timely routing of referrals.
• Conduct audits, monitor KPIs and dashboards, and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with directors, trainers, and clinic leads to training and updates.
• Resolve claims issues in partnership with Revenue Cycle and Clinic Directors.
