Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred.
• 2–5 years experience in Patient Registration, Billing dept., Scheduling dept., or MD offices.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Telephone experience required.
• Strong computer skills.
• Customer service experience required.
• Insurance third party requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Works independently/make decisions on their own.

Responsibilities

• Book appointments for services at SSH.
• Re-schedule/cancel patients in the system as needed.
• Ensure patient understands tests and any required prep.
• Pre-register all patients for scheduled appointments.
• Register meetings with 98% accuracy.
• Run and use applicable reports.
• Provide quality customer service to internal and external customers.
• Process pre-certification, eligibility and verification of benefits.
