Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Pre-Services Coordinator to deliver the highest level of patient service by coordinating scheduling, pre-registration and cost estimates.

You will collect demographic and billing information, explain insurance coverage and patient responsibilities, and assist with payment plans in a fast-paced, compassionate setting. This role is the single point of contact for scheduling, registration, and cost questions.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred.
• Years of experience: 1–3 years in registration and scheduling; 1–3 years in customer service.
• Required skills: Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with web applications; Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Call, schedule, pre-register, explain estimates, and collect on patient accounts.
• Confirm surgery appointments with patients after authorization and estimates.
• Create Medical Record numbers and enter registration information.
• Collect demographic and billing information professionally.
• Document medical history for scheduling and questionnaires.
• Answer questions about preparations, directions, and general hospital questions.
• Ensure accuracy and documentation; reschedule as needed following scripts.
• Train and coach new staff as assigned.
• Interpret orders for testing and ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Enter demographics accurately and register patients; create new medical records when needed.
• Schedule and register patients; request orders from physician offices if applicable.
