Job summary

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or GED; PC experience in a Windows environment.
• Preferred: Experience working in a medical setting.
• Knowledge of medical insurance; strong keyboarding skills.

Responsibilities

• Books appointments utilizing computer system and updates demographics and balances.
• Greets patients and checks them in/out on the computer system.
• Verifies insurance eligibility using online resources.
• Collects payments, posts amounts, and balances drawer for end of day.
• Prints face sheets, receipts, and other documents as needed.
• Notifies staff of emergencies, messages, and patient arrivals.
• Confirms upcoming appointments and reschedules as needed.
• Assists with setting up patient payment plans and follow-ups.
• Adheres to OSHA, HIPAA, and Code of Conduct policies.
• Maintains regular attendance and follows company core competencies.
• Works holiday shifts as required.
