Houston Methodist seeks a Scheduler to provide access to care by coordinating appointment-based services. The role interfaces with patients, facilities, and providers to schedule exams and procedures promptly and accurately.

You will pre-register patients in the EHR to obtain pre-certification, authorization, and insurance verification as needed, ensuring smooth patient flow and quality service.

Qualificações

• Two years of experience in a medical setting or call center environment.
• Medical scheduling experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Schedules patients for services accurately according to physician/department availability.
• Obtains valid orders and schedules patients based on the physician order and department criteria.
• Confirms patients’ appointments, instructs on location and directions to facility/department, and arranges interpreter or other assistance as needed.
• Establishes/updates the hospital account record with patient demographic and insurance information in the EHR.
• Reschedules and/or cancels appointments as needed; assists with resolving EHR work queues.
