Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of experience in a medical setting or call center environment.
• Medical scheduling experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patients for services accurately according to physician/department availability and urgency.
• Enters and updates patient demographic and insurance information in the EHR system.
• Confirms appointments, provides location directions, and arranges interpreter or accessibility assistance as needed.
• Responds promptly to scheduling requests, reschedules or cancels appointments as required.
• Resolves scheduling barriers by communicating with departments across the facility.
