Atlantic Health System is seeking a Scheduler I for Central Scheduling in Morristown, NJ. The role handles high call volumes, schedules diagnostic outpatient imaging, verifies eligibility, pre-authorizations, and collects upfront information to expedite registration.

Responsibilities include EMR data entry, payer communications, and ensuring patient understanding of upcoming appointments. Prior experience in a radiology or patient access setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of prior experience.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• All legally/reasonably expected certifications needed for function and level.
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Call Center experience, preferably in a Radiology imaging location.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience, preferably EPIC.

Responsabilités

• Accurately handles incoming calls, SMS requests, electronic web requests, and scheduling for all Atlantic Health locations.
• Ensures accurate and timely completion of inbound scheduling requests via fax or electronic work queues.
• Promotes patient portal usage and connects to registration resources.
• Ensures patients are aware of their upcoming appointment at the time of scheduling; assists with cancellations and rescheduling.
• Completes the patient’s Face sheet with demographics/insurance information to expedite check-in.
• Maintains patient accounts for medical and financial eligibility using Epic work queues.
• Coordinates with patients and physicians to obtain missing information or inform status of appointments/amount due.
• Performs real-time insurance verification and communicates financial responsibility and time of service policy.
