Job summary

Guthrie is hiring a Centralized Scheduler to be the first point of contact for patients, assisting with scheduling, pre-registration, and insurance verification. The role emphasizes patient-centered service, teamwork, and adherence to Guthrie’s Service Excellence Standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of healthcare experience.
• Experience using Epic.
• Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent typing skills and proper phone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduling, pre-registration, cancellation, and insurance/benefits verification with standard procedures.
• Collect patient payments and coordinate with financial counselors as needed.
• Develop relationships with physician offices and other scheduling/registration areas to ensure smooth communication.
• Assist patients with MyChart enrollment and educate on its capabilities.
• Adhere to policies and perform duties in line with service excellence standards.
• Meet productivity and quality targets and assist teammates when needed.
