Job summary

Baptist Health in Miami is seeking a Patient Access Associate to schedule diagnostic, surgical and therapy appointments, verify demographics and insurance, and register patients.

This role operates in a call-center-like environment with emphasis on meeting quality metrics and delivering outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication to patients, families, staff and physicians.

Estimated pay range for this position is $17.62 - $22.38 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Complete and pass the Patient Access training course.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Detail oriented, organized, team player, compassionate and customer-focused.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and Medicare guidelines.
• Experience with computer applications and accurate typing.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments (diagnostic, surgical, therapy, physician visits).
• Obtain and verify demographic and insurance information; register patients.
• Enter data into scheduling system.
• Operate in a call-center like environment and meet quality metrics.
• Provide professional, compassionate and friendly service to patients, families and staff.
