Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service with a welcoming demeanor.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Typing and computer skills at above-average level.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance processes preferred.
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities under pressure.
• Team-oriented with ability to work independently as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a welcoming presence in the registration area with excellent service.
• Interview patients at admission and enter demographic and insurance data accurately.
• Obtain documentation and scan IDs, insurance cards, consent forms, and directives.
• Maintain logs and ensure accurate recordkeeping for patient access.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and other access functions as assigned.
• Answer phones and manage messages professionally.
• Assist patients with financial assistance applications and payment plans.
• Post payments to patient accounts and protect confidentiality.
