UofL Health is a regional academic health system with multiple hospitals and medical centers serving Louisville. The Patient Access Coordinator oversees revenue cycle activities related to patient registration, insurance verification, pre-certification, and front-end operations to help meet financial goals.

This role creates a positive first impression for patients and families, trains staff, monitors KPIs, and coordinates with departments while supporting on-call coverage and special projects

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of relevant patient access experience required.
• Dependable, professional, and team oriented.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee patient registration, referrals, pre-cert/authorization, and insurance verification.
• Monitor cash flow through registrations, verifications, pre-authorizations, and collections.
• Develop and report KPIs for Patient Access; present findings to senior management.
• Coordinate communication between departments and Patient Access management.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, policies, and third-party payer requirements.
• Lead, train, and coach staff; participate in on-call rotation and special projects.
