Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a Patient Access Registrar to greet patients, collect demographic and insurance information, and support accurate and timely admissions and billing. The role requires courteous interaction with patients, families, and staff while maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.

The registrar will enter complete information, obtain signatures when required, and work with clinical teams to ensure correct patient placement and efficient flow through the registration process.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and enters complete patient demographic, guarantor, and insurance information.

• Verifies insurance information and assigns payer codes for proper billing.
• Registers patients by type (ER, inpatient, outpatient, etc.) and places patients appropriately.
• Maintains confidentiality and protects sensitive patient information.
• Supports efficient patient flow and adherence to policies and procedures.
