Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Create/verify initial electronic health records for patients to support care and billing accuracy.
• Check in/register patients; collect demographics, insurance, and payment information.
• Explain insurance coverage and collect payments; refer patients to Financial Advocates when needed.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and EMTALA, and obtain required signatures.
• Provide welcoming customer service, assist with directions, scheduling, and interpreters as needed.
• Manage electronic health record queues and follow the department's processes.
