Job summary

The Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation is seeking a Patient Access Specialist II to schedule and register patients, collect demographic and insurance data, and assist with forms for billing claims. Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in a fast-paced office with patient financial services software (Stockell or similar).
• Must have and maintain current BLS certification by the American Heart Association (AHA), if none, obtain within 3 months from date of hire.
• Excellent customer service, ability to manage multiple priorities, and proficient communication.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and register patients, collecting demographics, third-party coverage and clinical data.
• Assist patients with forms to process medical, dental and pharmacy billing claims; ensure data integrity for reimbursement.
• Follow EMTALA guidelines to transfer patients and coordinate with ED staff to disposition patients.
• Maintain patient privacy and HIPAA compliance; handle confidential information with care.
• Provide receptionist duties such as admissions, discharge, and pre-verification when assigned.
