You will work in a hospital-based setting across multiple departments, ensuring accurate documentation and a positive first impression for patients. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, strong customer service skills, and familiarity with office software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED is required.
• Customer service skills or knowledge of patient financial services, financial, collecting services or insurance industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient’s demographics and inputs into the EHR, maximizing reimbursement and minimizing denials.
• Proficient with inpatient, observation, emergency, obstetrics, surgery, imaging; may cover 24/7.
• Understands insurance benefits and verifier of benefits.
• Explains financial liability to patients and families, assists with payment plans or Banner Financial Assistance.
• Provides a range of patient and financial services tasks as assigned by the team lead.
• Maintains a high-volume, fast-paced hospital-based environment with strong service orientation.
