Job summary

Providence Swedish in Seattle is seeking a Registration Specialist to coordinate patient flow in the Emergency Department and hospital setting. You will greet patients, collect demographics and financial data, obtain consents, and guide visitors through the admission process.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or higher preferred.
• 2 years of experience in medical admitting (inpatient or outpatient).
• Experience in patient registration, financial counseling, insurance, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate information and support for patient flow in the ED environment.
• Provide front-line customer service, reception and registration.
• Interview patients and families to collect demographic and financial data.
• Assist with billing, insurance questions, and financial assistance.
• Serve as POS team expert for registration during hospitalization.
