Job summary

Providence Swedish Medical Center in Issaquah, WA is seeking a Part-time Patient Registration Specialist to coordinate patient flow and deliver front-line service in the hospital and Emergency Department environment.

You will interview patients, collect demographic and financial data, explain billing and insurance options, assist with financial aid and payment plans, and support POS registration. Flexible for occasional shifts and coverage needs.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• 2 years of experience in a medical setting with inpatient or outpatient admitting preferred.
• Experience in Patient Registration or financial counseling or insurance and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate information and support for patient flow in Swedish Medical Center and ED.
• Provide front line customer service including reception and Registration.
• Interview patients and families to collect demographic and financial data, obtain consents, escort patients as needed.
• Assist with billing inquiries, financial aid applications, and alternate coverage options for hospital stays.
• Serve as POS team expert to facilitate all registration functions during hospitalization.
