Job summary

Providence Regional Medical Center Everett is seeking a Patient Access Clerk to support the Emergency Department by registering demographic and insurance information, pre-registering patients, monitoring appointments, and collecting co-payments.

You will work with the clinical team in a fast-paced hospital setting, ensuring accurate data entry and smooth patient flow, while upholding Providence's commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Clerical and in person professional customer service experience, preference being in a health care setting.
• Experience with medical terminology (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Register demographic and insurance information accurately and timely.
• Prepare and coordinate distribution of patient information to nursing units and ancillary departments.
• Ensure patients are pre-registered prior to service date.
• Monitor scheduling programs for patient appointments.
• Collect patient co-payments.
• Collaborate with clinical team in the emergency department setting.
