Kaiser Permanente is seeking an On-site Registration Clerk to greet and register patients for clinic, inpatient, ambulatory, or emergency services. You will verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, and refer questions to Financial Advocates. The role supports multiple departments and adheres to SOX cash handling controls.

The position requires strong English communication, organizational skills, and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment across multiple care settings.

Competenze

• Six (6) months of health care financial OR six (6) months of cash handling OR six (6) months customer service experience in high volume environment.
• Two (2) years of experience keyboarding/typing and navigating multiple computer applications in a Windows environment.
• Per the National Agreement, current KP Coalition employees have this experience requirement waived.

Mansioni

• Registration: Greets and registers patients for various medical care in the clinic setting in a fast-paced environment such as the Emergency department. Verifies patient demographic and insurance information.
• Revenue Collection: Determines and collects cost-shares, and partial payments; enters/verifies payments, closes cash drawers, and creates deposits per policy.
• Appointing & Messaging: Takes messages, may schedule/cancel appointments, and may arrange referrals as needed.
• Regulatory/Organizational Compliance: Explains and has patients sign regulatory forms; ensures CMS/payer compliance; handles Medicare Secondary Payer screening.
• General Services: Stocks forms and supplies; assists patients with directions and referrals to other departments.
