Job summary

Grady Health System seeks a Patient Access Representative in Atlanta to manage intake and patient registration. You will interview patients, schedule appointments, verify demographics and insurance, post charges, and collect amounts due.

This role emphasizes accuracy, customer service, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have 1+ year in customer service, strong computer skills (Word/Excel), and the ability to type 30–35 WPM.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in Customer Service.
• High School or GED required.
• Ability to type 30-35 WPM and use basic computer software.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients during check-in and prevent duplicate records.
• Collect payments and post charges accurately.
• Verify patient identification and signatures on required documents.
• Enter patient demographics into the information system with accuracy.
• Verify and add insurance information on patient accounts.
• Explain and obtain signatures for consents and required forms.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Verify financial responsibility including deductibles and co-pays.
• Perform Filing Order in accordance with rules and payer requirements.
• Conduct patient interviews and gather information.
• Obtain authorizations/pre-certifications from third party payers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
