You will work across systems, answer phones, collect demographics, verify insurance, and collect co-pays while collaborating with care teams. This role offers training, growth within R1, and a supportive team environment, with pay range $16.12–$23.21 per hour depending on role and location.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service experience with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Maintains composure and professionalism in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize with high attention to detail.
• Comfortable shifting priorities based on patient needs.
• Experience with patient access, medical registration, insurance verification, or front desk is a plus.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass background check, drug test, and meet vaccination requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and assist patients and families with check-in across multiple systems.
• Answer phones and gather accurate patient information quickly.
• Support timely access to care by minimizing delays in registration.
• Build trust with patients during moments of illness, anxiety, or confusion.
• Navigate insurance plans and collect co-pays and provide cost estimates.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and care teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
