Job summary

Under the supervision of the Patient Registration Supervisor, you will support scheduling, pre-registration verification, document scanning, and patient portal enrollment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 months related work experience preferred.
• Previous registration knowledge preferred.
• Medical terminology and insurance knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of CPT/ICD10 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets the patient and addresses the needs of both patients and visitors.
• Answers the telephone within three rings and checks voicemail.
• Collects/verifies accurate financial and clinical data at registration.
• Communicates and comprehends hospital registrations and procedures.
• Collects out-of-pocket payments and deductibles as appropriate.
• Performs accurate patient registrations per department standards and supports performance goals.
