Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Patient Access Associate in Peoria, IL. You will ensure each registered patient has a complete and accurate OSF medical record, including demographics, insurance coverage, guarantor, and registration precision.

You will help patients understand their services and financial responsibilities while delivering a strong first impression of OSF’s services. The role requires excellent customer service, problem-solving skills, and the ability to navigate a multi-payer

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
At least 1 year in office clerical or customer service setting.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic website navigation.
Must complete revenue cycle training within 12 months.
Preferred: 3 years in office/medical revenue cycle environment.
Knowledge of CPT4, ICD9/10, HCPCS and modifiers helpful.

Responsibilities

Ensure patient records are complete and accurate, including demographics, insurance, and registration details.
Explain services, financial responsibilities, and expectations to patients over the phone or in person.
Provide excellent patient service to patients, families, and external customers.
Resolve issues in a complex multi-payer environment using deductive reasoning and logic.
