Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) is seeking a Patient Access Representative to join the System Services team in Needham, MA. You will support efficient, welcoming registration across electronic, telephonic, or in-person channels and help ensure patient confidentiality and accurate information for reimbursement.

You will handle scheduling, preregistration, and questions, participate in cash handling, ABNs, and forms, and receive extensive training on the EHR system.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Experience: 1-3 years in a related role with computer systems and MS Office.
• Skills: Able to work in fast-paced, multi-task environment with accurate data entry.
• Preferred: Call center experience, bilingual skills, familiarity with EHR.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients for visits and explains the registration process.
• Processes payments and safeguards cash; supports kiosk check-in as needed.
• Completes Medicare question for coverage and assists with signatures and forms.
• Verifies insurance and guarantor information; routes questions to appropriate departments.
