Job summary

Miami Neuroscience Institute Baptist Health South Florida is seeking an organized Clerical/Administrative professional to greet patients, collect demographics, verify payers, obtain authorizations, and register patients for services. You will handle payments, guide families, and ensure accurate data entry and documentation in the hospital systems.

The role requires at least 1 year of customer service experience, strong communication skills in English, and Spanish fluency is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Fluent in Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and families in person or on the telephone in a respectful and empathetic manner.
• Complies with HIPAA and EMTALA regulations.
• Interviews patients to obtain demographic, payer, financial/medical information, and identification for registration.
• Collects payments and provides receipts.
• Verifies payer information and obtains required authorizations for hospital services.
• Documents activities in the patient registration and collection notes systems.
• Schedules hospital services and registers patients for services.
• Notifies departments of issues and coordinates with staff to accommodate special needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information and handles data accurately.
