Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of customer service experience.
• High School education or equivalent preferred.
• Fluent in Spanish strongly preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
• Experience with medical terminology, procedures, diagnosis codes, and insurance strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and families in person or on the telephone and schedules, admits, or registers the patient.
• Obtains demographic, payer, financial, medical information, and identification.
• Verifies payer information and obtains necessary authorizations.
• Documents activities in the computer system and QA notes.
• Directs families to appropriate service areas and communicates needs to departments.
