R1 Kokomo location is seeking a Patient Registration Representative to provide fast, compassionate access to care. You will be the first point of contact for patients, supporting efficient check-in and accurate data collection.

As part of a frontline healthcare customer service role, you will collaborate with nurses and care teams to ensure smooth patient flow and timely scheduling, with a focus on empathy and accuracy in busy environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient access, front desk, or registration is a plus.
• Strong communication and empathy for patients and families.
• Ability to navigate multiple computer systems efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and assist patients and families with check-in across multiple systems.
• Answer phones and gather accurate patient information quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Support timely access to care by minimizing delays in registration and answering questions with confidence.
• Build trust with patients during moments of illness, anxiety, or confusion.
• Navigate insurance plans, enter demographics, collect co-pays, and provide cost estimates when applicable.
