Tidelands Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative I to register patients, verify demographics and insurance, and support first-call resolution. The role emphasizes accurate data entry in the electronic health record system and adherence to HIPAA privacy guidelines.

Responsibilities include handling inbound calls, scheduling appointments, guiding patients through processes, and assisting with referrals as needed.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of related customer facing experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred.
• Call center, patient scheduling and/or front-office experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Engage patients through registration to create a welcoming experience.
• Enter required information into the electronic health system accurately.
• Obtain signatures and complete forms including HIPAA and ABN where needed.
• Document insurance verification details and manage referrals or authorizations when required.
• Handle inbound/outbound calls and direct callers efficiently.
• Schedule appointments and communicate instructions to patients.
• Provide general administrative support for the department.
