Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Registry Team member to register patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect co-pays, and support care teams. The role emphasizes accuracy, HIPAA compliance, and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires availability Mon-Sun during 5:30a-4p and a minimum of 32 hours per month, with pay range of $20.80–$31.20 per hour. No licensure beyond High School is required.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate required.
• Experience with insurance verification/eligibility tools and EPIC EMR preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
• Strong customer service, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Create the initial electronic health record and prevent duplicates.
• Register patients, verify demographics, insurance, and collect payments.
• Explain insurance coverage and refer to Financial Advocates as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient information.
• Assist with scheduling and patient instructions.
• Provide excellent customer service and address inquiries.
