Job summary

Qualifications

• Education level equivalent to completion of four (4) years of high school.
• Patient Access Certification required; registration experience preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance reimbursement, co-pays and deductibles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients and documents discharge information in a timely manner.
• Obtains and inputs complete demographic and guarantor information.
• Verifies and inputs insurance information; scans insurance cards and IDs.
• Operates switchboard; handles calls with professional, courteous demeanor.
• Gathers and forwards patient complaints to appropriate department.
• Notifies department of patient arrival and handles pre-certification processes.
