Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Registrar to join our team in Voorhees, NJ. The role focuses on accurate patient registrations, benefits verification, and collecting co-pays in a fast-paced hospital environment.

You'll gather demographic and insurance information, obtain necessary signatures, and support scheduling and clerical tasks while delivering outstanding customer service to patients and families.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service in a professional setting (excludes retail/food service) preferred.
• Must demonstrate a positive demeanor and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic typing, computer and/or word processing skills required.

Responsibilities

• Enter demographic, financial, insurance and clinical information into the hospital information system; verify completeness and accuracy.
• Obtain signatures on consent, medical necessity and regulatory documents; process paperwork.
• Identify, collect and process co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance and deposits; liaise with billing staff if needed.
• Provide referrals and payment options to patients for financial assistance.
• Provide office support including telephones, scheduling, typing and filing.
