Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a part-time Patient Access Registrar to gather patient demographics, verify benefits, and collect co-pays at Camden locations. This role requires accuracy in data entry and strong customer interaction to be the first contact for Virtua.

Responsibilities include obtaining consents, processing paperwork, and directing patients to financial assistance options; training includes 3 weeks of dayshift orientation before transitioning schedules.

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service in a professional setting preferred.
• Medical office or admittance experience preferred.
• Positive demeanor with strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and enters patient demographic information into the hospital information system; verifies data.
• Obtains signatures on consent, medical necessity, and regulatory paperwork.
• Collects co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance and deposits; liaises with billing staff as needed.
• Identifies referrals and payment options for financial assistance.
• Provides general office support including phones, scheduling, typing, and filing.
