Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a part-time Registrar to gather patient demographics and verify insurance in our hospital information system. You will obtain authorizations, collect co-pays, and ensure accurate registrations while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires a high school diploma, strong communication, and familiarity with Epic or similar systems. Schedule shifts include days and potential orientation weeks across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service in a professional setting preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Basic typing, computer and/or word processing skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and enters patient demographic, insurance and financial data into the hospital system.
• Verifies benefits, obtains authorizations and collects co-pays and deposits.
• Provides office support including scheduling, telephones, filing, etc.
• Ensures data accuracy and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Acts as first point of contact for Virtua patients with excellent service.
