Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Interacts with coworkers, visitors, and staff per Jefferson values.
• Gathers accurate demographic information and identifies patients with existing medical records or assigns new medical record numbers.
• Requests photo ID and insurance cards; scans copies.
• Records complete demographic and insurance information; enters orders and confirms medical necessity for outpatient visits.
• Uses Real Time Eligibility (RTE), Phreesia or payer sites to verify insurance coverage and patient liability.
• Ensures referrals and authorizations are on file as needed; adheres to protocols and regulatory requirements.
