Advocate Health is seeking a Patient Registration Specialist to create patient records, verify demographics and insurance, collect co-pays, and ensure HIPAA compliance in a busy Emergency Department setting in Charlotte.

You will work 40 hours per week, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM with every other weekend rotation, using EPIC EMR and insurance tools to support timely billing and patient care while delivering courteous service to patients and visitors.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma required.
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills essential.

Aufgaben

• Create the initial electronic health record for new patients.
• Check in/register patients; collect demographics, insurance details and co-pays.
• Explain insurance basics and coordinate with Financial Advocates as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality.
• Assist with scheduling, reminders, and patient guidance for test preparations.
• Manage patient queues in the department’s electronic systems.
