Job summary

AdventHealth Celebration is seeking a patient access representative to welcome patients, verify demographics and insurance, and register for services. You will collect co-pays, communicate with clinical partners, and ensure accurate data entry to support timely discharge and optimal reimbursement.

You will collaborate with clinical teams to maintain smooth patient flow, educate patients on test locations and the patient portal, and provide timely service with a focus on safety and compliance

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in health services administration or related field preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year in customer service in medical office or similar setting with medical terminology and billing involved.
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming phone calls and directs them appropriately, Welcomes patients and verifies demographics and insurance.
• Registers patients for services, ensures accuracy, and supports timely discharge and reimbursement.
• Collects co-pays and outstanding balances at check-in with respectful but firm communication.
• Coordinates with clinical partners to maintain open communication and smooth patient flow.
