Job summary

AdventHealth Sebring is seeking a patient access professional to verify eligibility, obtain authorizations, and support accurate patient billing. You will schedule patients, explain benefits and financial responsibilities, and coordinate with clinical teams to minimize denials.

We value strong communication, multitasking, and proficiency with EMR systems. This full-time role offers day-shift hours and benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year experience with computers and EMR/EPM software preferred.
• ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify eligibility and obtain authorizations to avoid denials.
• Schedule patients according to department protocols.
• Explain insurance benefits and patient financial responsibilities.
• Assist with registrations and collect payments at time of service.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure timely documentation.
